Sell My BMW 3 Series in South East Queensland

SEQ Car Buyers pays cash for the BMW 3 Series right across South East Queensland. We are direct 3 Series buyers for E90, F30 and G20 sedans and Touring wagons, including 320i, 330i, 320d and 330d in standard, Luxury Line and M Sport trim, with a same-day offer and free pickup from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan and Toowoomba.

Direct offers for SEQ BMW 3 Series owners.

The 3 Series is the prestige sedan that set the benchmark, so we know what separates a sorted F30 330i with full BMW history from a tired 320i running on cheap tyres. Service records, the trim line and whether the timing chain on the diesels has been looked at all move the number, and we price the actual car in front of us rather than a flat online guess.

Selling a BMW 3 Series direct

Cash for your BMW 3 Series in South East Queensland

For a long stretch the BMW 3 Series was the default answer when someone in South East Queensland wanted a sedan that drove properly without shouting about it, and that loyalty still shows in how many change hands here. You see them everywhere from the Brisbane CBD car parks to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, owned by people who wanted rear-wheel-drive balance and a badge that held its value. The sellers we deal with range from second owners trading out of a much-loved E90 to professionals stepping out of a near-new G20 lease car. As a licensed direct buyer we are a far better home for a tidy 3 Series than a wrecker, and we buy them across all six SEQ metros: Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan and Toowoomba. Petrol or diesel, sedan or Touring, manual hunters and M Sport buyers, we want the good ones.

What lifts or drops the offer

  • Generation and engine: E90, F30 or G20

A G20 sits well above an F30, which in turn sits above an older E90. The four-cylinder 320i and 330i petrols and the smooth 320d and 330d diesels each draw their own buyers, and we weigh which generation and driveline you have before anything else.

  • M Sport versus Luxury Line or base

An M Sport with the body kit, sports seats and the larger alloys carries a clear premium over a base or Luxury Line car. The trim badge, interior spec and factory options genuinely change what the car is worth to us.

  • Full BMW service history

A complete, stamped history, ideally with main-dealer or specialist BMW servicing, is worth real money on a 3 Series. Evidence the oil services were never stretched out matters more on these engines than on most cars.

  • Tyres, wheels and run-flat condition

A matched set of good tyres on straight alloys lifts the offer, while a kerbed wheel or a worn, cheap run-flat set drags it down. We notice the rubber and the rims on these cars straight away.

  • Condition, both keys and a clean dash

Tidy paint, an unmarked leather interior, both keys and a dashboard free of engine, airbag or run-flat warnings all push our number up. A 3 Series that has clearly been cared for is the one we pay best for.

3 Series demand in SEQ

What your BMW 3 Series is worth to local buyers

Demand for a clean 3 Series across SEQ stays genuinely strong, particularly for the F30 and the newer G20 with a full BMW service history and no warning lights. Tidy 330i and 320d examples in M Sport trim are the ones people actively go looking for, and a well-kept Touring wagon has its own steady following. A car that presents well, drives without rattles and comes with its books and both keys is always the easiest sort of 3 Series to place.

Common BMW 3 Series issues we price honestly

Timing chain on the N47 four-cylinder diesel

The 320d's four-cylinder N47 diesel is the one with the well-known timing chain reputation. The chain sits at the back of the engine and can stretch with age and stretched-out oil changes, and it is labour-heavy to replace because the gearbox has to come off to reach it. A cold-start rattle from the rear of the engine on a higher-kilometre 320d is the warning sign. The six-cylinder N57 in the 330d is a different and generally more durable engine with its chain at the front, and is better known for swirl-flap and EGR or intake carbon housekeeping than for that rear-chain job. Either way it is priced in rather than a dealbreaker, and if the chain or a swirl-flap delete has already been done, show us the invoice.

Timing chain and turbo plumbing on the N20 petrol

The four-cylinder N20 petrol in many early 320i and 328i F30s had its own timing chain and guide wear, along with turbo hoses and crankcase ventilation lines that crack with age and cause boost or oil-consumption niggles. The later B48 engine, including the 330i, largely cured this. We simply factor in which engine you have and whether the chain work has been addressed.

Run-flat tyres and ageing electronics

Factory run-flat tyres ride firmly, wear at the edges and cost more to replace, so a set that is down to the markers affects the offer. The iDrive screen, the comfort electronics and the odd sensor can also play up with age on an older E90 or F30. None of this stops a sale on an otherwise sound 3 Series; we just account for it honestly.

BMW 3 Series questions

Selling a BMW 3 Series: common questions

Do you buy 320d and 330d diesels given the timing chain talk?
Yes. We buy plenty of both. The rear-mounted timing chain story really belongs to the 320d's four-cylinder N47, so on a higher-kilometre 320d we just listen for a cold-start rattle from the back of the engine and price it on its history and how it drives. The 330d's six-cylinder N57 has its chain at the front and is generally more robust, with swirl flaps and EGR the more relevant items. If the chain or any of that work has been done, show us the invoice because it genuinely helps your offer.
Is an M Sport worth more than a standard 3 Series?
It usually is. The M Sport body kit, sports seats, larger alloys and trim spec carry a clear premium over a base or Luxury Line car, all else being equal. Tell us the exact trim and factory options when you reach out and we will reflect them in the number.
Will run-flat tyres or a worn iDrive screen kill my offer?
No. A set of run-flats near the markers or a glitchy iDrive screen are normal wear items on a used 3 Series and are simply factored in, not treated as dealbreakers. We are buying the whole car, so good service history and a sound drivetrain count for far more.
Can you pick up my 3 Series anywhere in South East Queensland?
Yes. We collect for free across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan and Toowoomba. Once you accept our offer we arrange a time that suits, pay you, and take care of the pickup and paperwork ourselves.
